Does Hail Damage Metal Roofing?

In Texas, if you are accepting a discount for having an impact-resistant roof, you do waive your right to replacement due to cosmetic damage. If however you have not been accepting the discount, I would think they would replace your roof. The areas of missing coating could somewhat affect product life though if the roof is galvanized steel, you still have protection from the galvanization. The coating on your roof appears to be a PVC coating which tells me it is a few years old. If your roof is steel, it was manufactured by Berridge Manufacturing there in Houston. If it is aluminum, it was manufactured by Great American Roofing which is a company that has changed hands a few years ago but the previous owner retained liability for product they produced. I do not know for certain the product may have carried a warranty for chipping due to hail damage,
